Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is the third time the Castlevania franchise has been brought to the Nintendo DS. in OoE, you play as Shanoa. Shanoa has the ability to collect special glyph symbols that allow her to cast powerful magic, or enhance her attacks with elemental powers. You can also use special Glyph Union abilities that do lots of damage, or cause special affects. The game has a broad, expansive world that isn't just confined to Dracula's castle, and you visit many towns, forests, and villages in the course of the game. The game also has an Online mode, and allows for Wi-Fi linkup with other players.

The plot is as follows: The Belmont family has vanished, and the governments of Europe are attempting to find a replacement for them. The Order of Ecclesia is the most outstanding replacement, due to their special 'Dominus' system. Shanoa is the wielder of Dominus, a power based off Dracula's own dark magic. Throughout the course of the game, Shanoa finds out the truth behind her power, and ends with the culmination of her facing Dracula.

The game was released on October 21st, 2008 in The United States, October 28th, 2008 in japan, and February 6th, 2009 in Europe. It recieved a 80.6% rating on Gamerankings.com
