Spyro: A Hero's Tail is the final installment of the Spyro series on home consoles. It is the first Spyro game on the X-box, and the second on the Nintendo Gamecube. In the game, Spyro and his friends must quest through various worlds to defeat an evil dragon elder named Red. Red has brought back Spyro's first enemy, Gnasty Gnorc, and is attempting to conquer the world with the evil Gnorc's help. In the game, players can control Spyro or one of his three friends as they make their way through elemental themed worlds in their quest to stop the evil dragon Red.

The game was released on November 3rd, 2004 in the United States, and November 12th, 2004 in Europe. It was not released in Japan. The game recieved a rating of 66% on Gamerankings.com.
