Star Ocean: The Second Story Original Soundtrack OST

Star Ocean: The Second Story OST

Platform: Playstation (PSX)

Star Ocean: The Second Story is the second main title of the sci-fi themed Star Ocean series. Like the other Star Ocean games, ‘The Second Story’ was developed by tri-Ace and published by Enix. Unlike its predecessor, Star Ocean: The Second Story gives the player the choice of playing either Rena, a Nedian (Pointy Eared Humanoids. Think Elves) or Claude, a human. Depending on which choice the player makes, the game's story is a bit different, but the game's overall plot remains largely the same. The Second Story begins on the planet of Milocinia where Claude was commissioned by the Earth Federation to explore it. Upon examining the some broken alien machinery on the surface of the planet, one of the machines mysteriously teleports him to planet of Expel where he meets Rena. Like the other Star Ocean games, the plot is considered to be a bit unique considering that there are very few good sci-fi themed RPGs on the market. Star Ocean: The Second Story was released in Japan on July 30th, 1988 and a year later in the United States on May 31, 1999. The game finally arrived in Europe on April 12, 2000. It was ultimately well received as it sold over a million copies worldwide and received a score of 78.73% on Game Rankings.
