Secret of Evermore is an action RPG for the Super Nintendo console that was developed and published By Squaresoft. Gameplay wise, Secret of Evermore is a lot like Secret of Mana, as the game has the same real time combat system, ringed shaped item / magic menu and even the ability to switch between characters in the game's persistent world. The game's plot follows a boy and his pet dog as they are mysteriously transported to a fantasy world pieced together by an eccentric inventor. Secret of Evermore was released in North America on October 1st 1995 and in Europe on February 22, 1996. The game was never released in Japan, as it was developed entirely by Squaresoft's North American branch. The title received largely positive reviews with an average aggregate score of 81.42% according to GameRankings. The game's sound track wascomposed by Jeremy Soule, the award winning composer of soundtracks for film, television and video games.
