Lunar Silver Star Story, named Runa Shiruba Suta Sutori in Japan, is a console RPG developed by Game Arts and Japan Art Media. The game is a remake of the original Lunar: The Silver Star and was originally released for the Sega Saturn in 1996. The game is a traditional 'top down' RPG with 2D characters and background art. Since the game's port to Playstation, the graphics and sound quality have been significantly improved. Lunar: Silver Star Story's main character is Alex, a young boy from a small town who wishes to be an adventurer. The primary antagonist is Ghaleon, a dark Magician who seeks godhood. Alex must stop Ghaleon and restore peace to the world. The game was well received and earned an 85% from GameRankings. Lunar: Silver Star Story was released on the Playstation in Japan on May 28th, 1998 and in North America on May 30th, 1999.
