Tales of Destiny 2 is centered around Kyle Dunamis and his efforts to return the timestream to normal. It deals with the events 18 years after Stahn Ailerion's , from Tales of Destiny, exploits. A new cult has risen up, aiming to resurrect the dead goddess Fortuna. Elraine, the main villain, is aided by a man named Barbatos, who is so full of rage and lust for revenge that he fought against both Heaven and Earth in an ancient war. Players must attempt to stop Elraine and Barbatos while solving problems and trekking through dungeons for party members and gear. The game was released on August 14th, 2003 in the United States and was met with mediocre reviews.
