Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures is a fantasy themed 3D MMORPG developed by Funcom and published by Eidos (Now owned by Square Enix). Like many pay to play MMORPGs, Age of Conan was named by numerous gaming outlets as a potential 'World of Warcraft Killer', but in reality the game, although moderately successful, couldn't even come close to World of Warcraft's success. The game's story takes place on the continent of Hyborian Kingdoms a year after the events in the Conan novel, 'The Hour of the Dragon'. Perhaps Age of Conan's most unique feature is the game's real time combat system where users have to pull off difficult combos in order to achieve the highest possible damage output. The game's soundtrack was composed by Knut Avenstroup Haugen and was very well received.
