Players once again take control of Dante in this hack-and-slash adventure, setting out to stop an evil organization from using his father's ancient, powerful sword to open a portal to hell. Dante is joined by the newcomer to the series, Nero, and you are able to play as both of them in the story. Nero has similar 'devil powers' to Dante, and the addition of the 'Buster' arm. Both characters have similar abilities, but play differently. The game has many interesting and beautiful areas to explore, and a very good soundtrack that sets the theme. The game was well received around the world, and had very high ratings on many game ranking websites.
