Golden Axe 2 is the sequel to Golden Axe. It is the second game in the franchise. Like the first game, Golden Axe 2 is a hack-and-slash sidescrolling adventure. One more, the three heroes from the first game- the mighty, axe wielding dwarf, the fierce barbarian, and the cunning amazon have returned to face the evil that threatens the kingdom. This time, the kingdom is theratened by a dark warrior named Dark Guld.

The game was released on December 26th , 1991 in the United States, and December 27th, 1991 in Japan.  It recieved a rating of 70.6% on Gamerankings.com
