The World Ends With You, called It's a Wonderful World in Japan (Subarashiki Kono Sekai), is an action RPG developed and published for the Nintendo DS by the Kingdom Hearts team over at Square Enix. The game is fairly unique considering it's set in the modern day world rather than a more generic medieval fantasy theme. More specifically, the game is set in a fictional version of the Shibuya shopping district in Tokyo, Japan where the protagonist Neku Sakuraba, a gauche anti-social teenage boy, along with his allies are forced to take part in a game that will determine their fate. The game received incredibly well as it received an average game review score of 88.18%. The game was released in Japan on July 26, 2007, in North America on April 22, 2008 and in Europe on April 18, 2008. During the week of its launch The World Ends With You was the best selling DS title in the United States and the second best selling in Japan.
