Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge is the second Castlevania game for handheld systems, the first being Castlevania: The Adventure.

In Castlevania 2: Belmont's Revenge, the player once again takes on the role of Christopher Belmont. Dracula has been ressurected again, and has kidnapped Belmont's son and put a curse on him, transforming him into a demon. The game has four levels, each based on a different element(Plant, earth, crystal, air) , and they can be completed in a non-linear fashion.The game added new sub-weapons to Belmont's arsenal, including throwing axes and vials of holy water.

The game was released on August 12th, 1991 in Japan and the United States, and released on November 26th, 1992 in Europe. It recieved an 81.88% rating on Gamerankings.com
