Dragon Quest III, released in North America as 'Dragon Warrior III, is a console RPG developed by Chunsoft for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It is the third game in the ever popular 'Dragon Quest' series. The game's enormous popularity led to the game's remake for the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Color. Like other Dragon Quest games, Dragon Quest III follows the game's Hero as he tries to save the world from evil. The game's antagonist this time is the Demon Lord Baramos, who must be stopped by the Hero and his three companions. Dragon Quest III was released in Japan on February 10, 1988 and in North America on June 12, 1991.The game was ultimately well received, as it earned a score of 87% from Gamerankings.
