Golden Sun is a typical japanese RPG for the GBA. It has been called one of the 'best RPGs made for any system' by many reviewers, and is viewed as one of the best GBA RPGs ever made. The game is like many other 2-D RPGS. The player controls a group of four magically adept individuals in their quest to save the world. They have the ability to use special, magical allies called 'Djinn', in addition to their powerful melee weapons and spells.

The game's plot follows the adventures of Isaac and his friends as they set out into the alchemically charged world of Golden Sun to gather the magic crystals that powered all of the world's alchemy, and restore magic to the world.

The game recieved a 90% rating from Gamerankings.com, and was released on August 1, 2001 in Japan, November 11th, 2001 in the United States, and February 22nd, 2002 in Europe.
