Halo: Combat Evolved is the first Halo game that people experienced. In it, players take control of the superhuman soldier named 'Master Chief' as he fights off an evil alien army called the 'Covenant'. At the start of the game, the Master Chief's ship is attack by the Covenant and crash-lands on an oversized space station in the shape of a ring. The player must make their way through the lush environments and futuristic buildings located on the space station, all while fighting the Covenant and avoiding a more sinister threat hidden away beneath the space station.
