Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is a side-scrolling adventure game. The player takes on the role of Abe, a strange mudokan slave. Abe works in a meatpacking factory, and is their employee of the month. Sadly, the animals that they use for meat have gone extinct, and the owners of th eplant are looking for a replacement- which just so happens to be the species that Abe belongs to! So, the player guides Abe on his escape from the meatpacking plant.

The game was released on September 19th, 1997 in the United States and Europe, and December 11th, 1997 in Japan.  It recieved a 80.8% rating on Gamerankings.com
