The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, also known as Zeruda no Densetsu Towairaito Purinsesu in Japan, is the thirteenth installment to the critically acclaimed 'The Legend of Zelda' Series and is Nintendo's first Zelda game for the Wii. The game was released in North America on November 19, 2006 and in Europe, Japan and Australia a month later in December 2006. The game's story focuses on the series' protagonist, Link, as he tries to stop a corrupted parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm from englufing Hyrule. Twilight Princess was awarded numerous Game of the Year (GOTY) awards and is considered one of the best Zelda games. For those unfamiliar with the series, Twilight Princess, like all other Zelda titles is an action-adventure game with an emphasis on item collection and exploration. The game sold nearly 1 million units in the first week and went on to sell well over 6 million units worldwide.
