Thousand Arms is a Romantic Comedy RPG set in a 'steampunk' world for the Playstation published by Atlus in 1998. The game focuses on the goggle-wearing protagonist Meis Triump as he travels the world trying to stop a dark villain all the while chasing cute girls. Thousand Arms is considered to be a sort of unique game as it had a built in 'dating simulaton' a good deal of voice acting, which was rare for games of the time. The game's Antagonists are The Dark Acolytes, a mysterious organization of cyborgs and robots, who try to bring chaos to the world by collecting the five legendary Sacred Flames. Meis, a spirit blacksmith by profession, has to stop the Dark Acolytes before they can collect these stones. Thousand Arms was released in Japan on December 17, 1998 and a year later in the United States on September 30, 1999. The game was fairly well received with an average score of 78.61% from numerous major gaming magazines and sites.
