Players take control of Yoshi in this continuation of the 'Yoshi Story' games. Bowser has started a rampage on Yoshi's Island, and a magical book named Hongo traps the entire island and the people who live on it inside a storybook. Players control Yoshi and his friends as he makes his way through the book in an attempt to defeat Bowser so Hongo will release his island from the confines of the story book by making their way through colorful, themed levels while meeting 'goals' set inside each level.
