Vagrant Story is a critically acclaimed RPG for the playstation. It was developed and published by Squaresoftand released on the playstation in Japan on February 2000 and North America on May 2000. The title was largely developed by the development team behind Final Fantasy Tactics. Vagrant Story is set in the fantasy kingdom of Valendia and the ruined city of Lea Monde. The game focuses on the elite agent 'Ashley Riot' who is also known as Riskbreaker. Ashley Riot must travel to Lea Monde to investigate the connection between a cult leader and a senior Valendian Parliament member, Duke Bardorba. The game has a unique bit of political intrigue and an epic story that's certainly worth checking out for those that haven't experienced the game yet. Vagrant Story was ultimately very well received and ranks amongst one of the top RPGs of all time as it was the only playstation title to receive a perfect score of 40/40 from Famitsu with other magazines also giving it high praise. It was also one of the best selling Playstation titles of all time with a whopping 100,000 units sold within the first 20 days.
