The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask Original Soundtrack OST

Zelda Majoras Mask OST

Platforms: Nintendo 64, Gamecube

The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Masik, titled Zeruda no Densetsu Mujura no Kamen in Japan, is the sixth game in the critically acclaimed 'The Legend of Zelda' series. Majoras Mask had quite a bit to live up to as it preceded Ocarina of Time, which was considered the best Zelda game of the time and is still considered the best Zelda game today by many critics. Majoras Mask was a sequel to Ocarina of Time and instead of being set in Hyrule like most Zelda titles, Majoras Mask was set in the world of Termina where Skull Kid has stlen Majora's Mask, which was an ancient artifact. Under the influence of the Mask, Skull Kid tries to force the moon to collide with Termina after a three day cycle. Link must prevent the disaster and save Termina before the three day cycle ends. The three day cycle was an interesting twist to the series but many gamers felt that the time limit stifiled exploration. Majoras Mask was generally well received by critics, as the game has improved graphics and a more in depth plot than Ocarina of Time. The game was inreleased in Japan on April 27, 2000 and in North America much later on October 26, 2000. The game finally hit Europe on November 17, 2000. Majoras mask sold approximately 314,000 units during its first week in Japan and went on to sell over 3 million copies worldwide.
