Final Fantasy X, called Fainaru Fantaji Ten in Japan, is the tenth installment of the incredibly popular and critically acclaimed 'Final Fantasy' RPG franchise. The game's protagonist is Tidus, a cheerful and upbeat blitzball star who mysteriously finds himself in an unknown world called Spira. Tidus joins up with a 'Summoner' named Yuna who must complete a sacred pilgrimage in order to protect the world against an evil monster named 'Sin'. Final Fantasy X utilizes a turn based combat system and a unique progression system without levels called the 'Sphere Grid'. Final Fantasy X is hailed today as one of the best RPGs of all time by many critics and was enormously successful. The game sold well over 7 Million copies worldwide and earned an impressive score of 91% from Gamerankings. It was released in Japan on July 19, 2001, in North America on December 20th, 2001 and in Europe on May 29, 2002. Final Fantasy X's soundtrack, like many other Final Fantasy titles, was composed by the legendary Nobuo Uematsu. Final Fantasy X has some of the best RPG Music of any game and is certainly well worth listening to.
