Final Fantasy VII Advent Children although itself not an RPG, was based off the critically acclaimed Final Fantasy VII game, thus earns itself a spot on RPGMusic. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, called Fainaru Fantaji Sebun Adobento Chirudoren in Japan, is a CGI film produced by Yoshinori Kitase and Shinji Hashimoto with a budget of $100 Million. The movie's music was composed by legendary Final Fantasy composer, Nobuo Uematsu. Advent Children is set two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII and follows the adventure of Cloud Strife as he debunks the cause of a mysterious plight called 'GeoStigma' that has devastated the population in the city of Edge. Many characters and themes from the Final Fantasy VII game are integral parts of the film, so fans of Final Fantasy VII should enjoy the movie. The film was released in Japan on September 14, 2005, in North America on April 25, 2006 and in Europe on April 24, 2006. Final Fantasy VII Advent Children was largely well received, but many critics noted that to fully appreciate the film, the viewer should be familiar with the Final Fantasy VII story.
