Star Ocean: Till The End of Time Original Soundtrack OST

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time OST

Platforms: Playstation 2

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is the third main title of the Star Ocean series. Like the other Star Ocean games, 'Till the End of Time' was developed by tri-Ace and published by Square Enix. Perhaps the most unique aspect of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is the games fast paced real time combat system, similar to the games in the .Hack and 'Tales Of' Series. Unlike the traditional 'random encounters' that most RPGs have, battles in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time are triggered by running into enemies on the actual map. The game is considered to be unique because its one of the only RPGs set in a science fiction universe. Unfortunately though, much of the game is set on an 'Under Developed' planet which sort of brings the game into a generic fantasy medieval like setting. A lot of the games themes and ideas are about advanced civilization / underdeveloped civilization interaction was inspired by Star Trek, which makes the game quite interesting. The game's protagonist is Fayt Leingod, a seemingly average college student from Earth. The game begins on the vacation resort planet of Hyda IV. The game was first released in Japan on February 27, 2003, in North America on August 31, 2004 and in Europe on October 1st 2004. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time was ultimately well received and earned an average score of 81% on GameRankings. The game's music and original sound track are quite impressive to boot and well worth listening to.
