Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen are remakes of the original Pokemon Red and Pokemon Green games for the game boy. Like all other Pokemon games, they were developed by the Japanese game developer GameFreak. Both FireRed and LeafGreen have 151 Pokemon to catch. The most notable difference between these remakes and the original 'Red' and 'Green' versions are the enhanced graphics and a new area to explore called 'Sevii Islands'. Both games were released in Japan on January 29th, 2004, In North America on September 9th, 2004 and in Europe on October 1, 2004. They were ultimately well received, as they earned a score of 82% from GameRankings. If you're a fan of the original 'Red' and 'Green' versions, the remakes are certainly worth checking out.
