Chrono Cross is a console RPG for the Playstation developed and published by Square. The game is a direct sequel to the incredibly popular 'Chrono Trigger' game for the Super Nintendo. Much of the Chrono Cross was developed by the same people who made the original game. The game's protagonist is a teenage boy named Serge and the game's major theme is about parallel worlds. Unfortunately, even though Chrono Cross is a sequel to Chrono Trigger, the game's are both largely independent and have little in common and no plot continuity. The game's music was scored by Yasunori Mitsuda, who also worked on the original Chrono Trigger original sound track. Chrono Cross was released in Japan on November 18, 1999 and in North America on August 15, 2000. The game was a commercial success and earned an impressive score of 92.22% from Gamerankings.
