Chrono Trigger Original Soundtrack OST
Platforms: Super Nintendo (SNES), Nintendo DS
Chrono Trigger, called Kurono Toriga in Japan, is an enormously popular RPG for the Super Nintendo. The game was developed and published by Square and follows the adventures of a group of time travelers who try to prevent a global catastrophe. The game's success and praise led to Square re-releasing the game for the Nintendo DS in late 2008. The gameplay itself though largely flows like a traditional RPG with a turn based active time battle system. Chrono Trigger's music was scored by Yasunori Mitsuda and the legendary Final Fantasy composed Nobuo Uematsu. The game was originally released for the Super Nintendo in Japan on March 11, 1995 and in North America on August 22, 1995. Chrono Trigger was considered a commercial success, as the game sold well over 2 million units worldwide and earned a jaw dropping 95% on GameRankings. The game is still hailed today as one of the best console RPGs of all time.
